London Stone enhance customer delivery experience with LEVL
London Stone is a market leader in the supply of natural stone paving to clients throughout the UK.
Renowned for their comprehensive range of sawn paving and bespoke stone, providing high quality products, excellent value for money and superior customer service to a broad range of client types that include landscape contractors, garden designers, property developers, architects and home-owners.
London Stone approached LEVL to see how the use of the latest telematics technology could provide their customers with a enhanced delivery experience whilst providing the business with the tools required to enhance driver safety, vehicle performance and reduce overall fleet running costs.
We recommended the installation of Geotab telematics into the fleet, providing London Stone with all the traditional vehicle tracking and driver behaviour data they required with the addition of engine diagnostics, fuel consumption and immediate notification in the event of an accident.
Driver behaviour is monitored using the Driver Challenge application which allows drivers to see where they stand in the company league table, with coaching on areas that require improvement and driver awards issued for great driving. Back at the office all of the information is collated onto the MyGeotab portal for the fleet manager to monitor at any time and download reports for driver de-briefs.
We also looked at the way all orders are allocated and routes scheduled which was a manual process, we recommended the automation of this process with the implementation of MaxOptra our routing and scheduling tool. MaxOptra has been integrated to the London Stone IT system, every day all orders are confirmed and then scheduled automatically, detailing which order is to be placed on each vehicle, an e-mail or text message is then sent to the customer giving them a delivery slot.
The MaxOptra solution has also been integrated to Geotab and will monitor the position of the vehicle in comparison to the scheduled delivery time window, this allows London Stone to keep their customers notified of all deliveries via an automated email or text message, significantly enhancing the customer experience.
