London ULEZ 2021

The ULEZ expansion in London has gone live!

London’s ULEZ has been expanded from central London up to (but not including) the North Circular and South Circular roads.

Who is affected?

The ULEZ is live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round (expect Christmas Day) and drivers of cars, motorcycles, some vans and minibuses will need to meet the ULEZ emissions standards or pay a daily charge of £12.50 to drive within the zone. Heavier vehicles including certain vans, coaches, buses and lorries will need to meet the LEZ standards instead. Use the free online vehicle checker to see if your vehicle meets the emissions standards. The congestion zone will not be changing, meaning if you drive into central London you may need to still pay a congestion charge regardless if you meet the ULEZ standards.

Why is the ULEZ expanding?

The expansion is part of plans to improve the air quality in London and the health of those living within the zone. According to the Governments figures, around 4,000 Londoners died prematurely in 2019 due to long-term exposure to air pollution. Since the introduction of the ULEZ there are over 44,000 fewer polluting cards driving within the zone everyday.

LEVL ULEZ Solution

Want to avoid the London ULEZ charges? Transition your fleet to electric vehicles, contribute to improving the air quality and save yourself the £12.50 daily charge. We offer a full end-to-end electric vehicle transition solution, supporting you throughout the process. Watch our end-t0-end EV transition video and see how LEVL can support your transition to electric vehicles.

How it works

Install future-proof Geotab telematics into your ICE vehicles for up to a 3-month period. From this the Geotab device will track your vehicles driving data and provide an EVSA (electric vehicle suitability assessment). The EVSA will provide recommendations on which vehicles in your fleet are suitable to transition to electric based on each vehicles distinct driving patterns. We can then identify which electric vehicles in the market are most suitable to replace your current fleet. Working with our best-in-class partners we can provide a full site survey on charging capabilities, charging points and the supply of electric vehicles for your fleet.
